Old eyebrow tattoos can become too dark, uneven, blurred or change colour over time. Our Pico laser can be used to gradually fade selected semi-permanent makeup pigments,
whether you want correction, removal or lightening before a new brow treatment.
How Does Laser Eyebrow Tattoo Removal Work?
The laser targets pigment particles beneath the skin and breaks them into smaller fragments.
The body gradually clears these fragments, causing the tattoo to fade over a series of treatments. Different brow pigments contain different colour blends. This means the colour may change
during treatment as individual pigments respond.
Why Can Eyebrow Tattoos Change Colour?
Cosmetic tattoo inks are often made from several pigments blended together.
When one colour responds faster than another, a hidden shade can become temporarily more
noticeable. For example, a brown brow may reveal red, orange, grey or yellow tones during the removal process.
Will the Laser Remove My Natural Eyebrow Hair?
The treatment targets tattoo pigment rather than the hair follicle.
However, eyebrow hairs can temporarily lighten or whiten after treatment. Normal hair colour usually returns as new hair grows, although no outcome can be guaranteed.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
This depends on:
- Pigment colour
- Pigment ingredients
- Depth of application
- Number of previous brow treatments
- Amount of pigment present
- Skin type
- Whether you want fading or fuller removal
Older or lightly applied pigments may respond more quickly than dense, repeatedly tattooed brows.
Important Information
Some cosmetic pigments can darken when exposed to laser energy.
Laser treatment may not be appropriate for every pigment or every person.

Can you remove microblading?
We can assess microblading, powder brows, ombré brows and other semi-permanent eyebrow techniques. Suitability depends on the pigments used and how deeply they were implanted.
Will one treatment remove them?
Usually not. Cosmetic tattoo removal is normally a gradual process requiring multiple sessions.
Can I have my brows tattooed again afterwards?
Potentially, once the skin has healed and sufficient fading has been achieved. Your permanent makeup artist should assess the area before applying new pigment.
Can you remove only the ends or unwanted sections?
It may be possible to target selected areas, depending on the size and position of the pigment.
